Massage Therapist/Acupuncturist/Naturopath
"Don't be pushed by your problems, be led by your dreams!"
My Journey began over drinks with a friend who was about to enrol on a nutrition course at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. My job was no longer giving me challenges nor was I able to change my role within the company. We spoke about CNM, so I took a look at the courses on offer and availability. Because of my love for Kung Fu and Hong Kong cinema, the acupuncture course was my only possible option. As the course was 5 years, I wanted to do something that would allow me to start practising and getting acquainted with the human body and this lead me to also enrolling at The Bodyology School of Massage.
In late 2016, I qualified from The Bodyology School of Massage as a Holistic and Therapeutic Massage Therapist. In early 2020 I graduated from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) as an Acupuncturist and Naturopath.
I was first introduced to massage and acupuncture in my early 20s after picking up some minor injuries while training in Capoeira (a Brazilian martial art). This seemed to get to the root of the problem as opposed to taking pain killers and anti-inflammatories, which I found, only treated or masked the symptoms.
Prior to starting these courses, I was working in IT as a technical support engineer and data analyst. After some time I realised that this was not where my passion lay. I would find my mind drifting to the body's ability for growth, adaptability and healing. It was this revelation that led me on a path of holistic health, wellbeing and alternative/complimentary therapies.
In November of 2022, I decided to take the leap of faith from solving issues with software and hardware to assisting people in solving their physical and emotional "dis-ease".
Among other things, since graduating, I have performed post-race massages for Refuge runners at the 2017 London Marathon, been the on-site massage therapist with Country Karma Retreats and Bromley Mindfullness Retreats as well as working as the resident acupuncturist for South London Charity Carers4Carers.
Due to my training in martial arts and my enjoyment in various types of sport as well as my education in anatomy and physiology, I have a deep understanding of body mechanics which aides me in treatments and understanding of how the body should move and work when free of pain, restrictions and trauma.
